>> VALUATION ROLL OPEN FOR INSPECTION From 15 February 2008 to 28 March 2008 the new valuation role will be open for public inspection at the office of the Municipal Manager, 10 Connor Street, Port Shepstone during office hours 07:30 to 16:00. In addition the valuation roll will be available at website www.hcm.gov.za Any person wishing to lodge an objection to a specific individual property should do so within the above-mentioned period. The form for lodging of an objection will be obtainable at 10 Connor Street, Port Shepstone or on website www.hcm.gov.za The completed form must be returned to the Municipal Manager, Hibiscus Coast Municipality, Valuation Roll, 10 Connor Street, Port Shepstone, 4240. Completed forms can also be e-mailed to objections@hcm.gov.za Ratepayers are reminded that the new valuation role is based on "market value", willing buyer and willing seller, and that the value reflected in the valuation roll will form the basis of future assessment rate calculations. The number of cents to each Rand of value that ratepayers will be expected to pay, will be published by the municipality in due course. >> MUSIC IN EYLES PARK - SUNDAY 24 FEBRUARY 2008 Bring your chair and sundowner basket and join Southbroom Conservancy at Eyles Park (behind the tennis club), Captain Smith's Road, Southbroom on Sunday 24 February 2008. At 16h00, David Hallé will lead a guided walk through the Bushbuck Trail At 17h00, Robin Ransome has assembled a group of musicians, wind and string, who will entertain as the sun goes down. Those wishing to linger on and enjoy the moon rise will more than likely be treated to the antics of night jar and fire fly, as well as froggy operatics. We look forward to seeing you and sharing what has become a most delightful public setting in Southbroom. >> CRIME DOWN IN SOUTHBROOM We congratulate SAPS Sector Manager, Inspector Welcome Shusha and his team on the excellent results that they are achieving in Southbroom. Crime statistics continue to show a downward trend with 6 house-breakings in January 2008 (17 in January 2007). |
